Less than A month...

Hey, its Lindsey!! Its less than a month until school gets out! Im mainly happy, but a little sad too. I mean this year has been an extremly good year, except for some minor details. But you know what they say "Once one door Closes another door opens!" And This time that door is 8th grade. And Besides summer means: I get to sleep in, I get to go on a super awesome trip, I get to read more books, I get to... well I think you get the point. Im just afraid that well it takes another list to explain: 8th grade, high school, collage, then what?!?!? Thats my point. I have absolutly no idea about what happens after im done with school! I have no idea what I even want to be when I grow up! And even now in the end of 7th grade I hardly can grasp whats going on around me! Later, Lindsey.

Hey, its Lindsey.
11 years ago in Oklahoma city there was an F 6 tornado (aka EF5) that nearly destoryed my old home. It drove my mom and I to my grandparents house. Where they stuffed us into a closet, to proctect us! I wish I had memories of this event, I want to do every thing in my power to try to keep other 13 year olds from trying to figure out why she is still alive. I also had another near death experence, When I was 8 I nearly fell of a bridge. Yep, I have been on the brink of death, and incase your all wondering I did see my life flash before my eyes. I think the last thought in that situation was, I never got my first kiss. I've always cared about that, always have, always will. Anyways. I survived... The show i was ment to be on.
Stay'n alive, Lindsey

Happy May!!!

Yay, it's May! I feel like posting a poem, but I don't feel like making one up, so lemme grab on off the internet, which is harder than you think, so I wrote one:

Yay, it's May!
Let the robins play.
Children sing,
Because it's spring.
Yay it's' May!
Let's go out and play.

Pretty good for 5 minutes, right?

Is it possible?

Hey guys its Lindsey! I was just wondering if its possible to be addicted to writing? Is it? Because if it is I need serious help! I'm writing a little more everyday, its so crazy!! I'm 1/2 way on Facebook and 1/2 way writing and most of my status's are about writing!!!! Its insane. But right now all I'm rotating about is how its all changed. So many thing have changed since I first moved here.

I know its hard to believe but when I first moved here I was the weird girl, involved in her stories so much that she believed them and no one talked to me! The next year was way better! I had more connections to the populars, but on the list from me to the guy I like was about a mile difference. In 5th grade, I was in the middle of the list, but to say it lightly I had a major crush on a boy in my class. I'm not going to go into that right now. Last year, I knew everyone or most everyone! This year, the girl I was last year would look at me and see a very accomplished 7th grader who was way different from herself.
I'm crazy, fun, and just plain awesome. I have a bunch of new friends, and the old ones stand by me like they have done for always. I've transformed from a cute innocent little girl to the very thing i feared most.... A teen! Where have the past years gone? This year has gone by so fast, and I'm almost on my own, without Juliet here next year, where will I be?
Peace, love and happiness, Lindsey!

Comments, Funny Faces and Cake

Nobody ever, ever comments. So, Followers, please take a second and COMMENT. Yes, that would be extremely helpful. And we will thank you.

Wanna know something fun to do? Make funny faces at someone when they're not looking. Just do yourself a favor and make sure NOBODY else is looking at you when you do it cuz that would be... interesting...

Sorry, just thought of that. Anyway, I am at home sick and I am gonna go watch a movie while eating junk-- I mean healthy food. Yep. That's what I'm gonna do. Just gotta remember: healthy. Not easy to do while watching cake shows on Food Network, but I'll get there. Eventually.

I (Juliet) Will Put a Title for Her: You Forgot a Title

Hey! Its Lindsey, the 2nd post in 2 days! Im on a roll! TAKE THAT JULIET!
I bet your probably wondering whats the big deal with facebook, twitter and myspace? I used to until I got one, and by one I mean a facebook. Ok, swear I'm addicted to it. I"m on almost all the time! And I feel like I'm at school talking to my friends when I'm on it. Now you know what the big deal is.
And with the tornado outbreak that was happening yesterday its not really a shock in the fact of why people think the world could be ending. There is an entire list of weather things that keep on happening:
1. Haiti earthquake
2. Chile Earthquake
3. Mexican Earthquake
And a bunch of other things so while the world is ending your just sitting here. Good Job. Just kidding!
I really can't think of anything to really post about... that's why I never post! Anyways... later!

Happy birthday Lindsey

Yes, yes it is my birthday! Feel free to ohh and ahh. (Wow's are also acepted)
Just kidding. But It really is my B-day. And to celebrate it I had a sleepover at a hotel with 2 two of my friends, we swam, and told ghost stories. Then in the morning we had the contental breakfast, had more candy, left and came back to my house. We stayed and watched a movie until 2 and then we had our nails done! (And were talking mani-pedi people!!!) And here we are now. or I am now. SO...
We had a shaker (Dance) Last night. People were 'dancing' and there was ping-pong and the gym waz open and there was a basketball game going on. At first it was kinda lame, but then I think I either A) Lost My Mind (Which is very unlikely considering its already gone) B) I think I realized that I Had like all of my friends there and the popular girls were acting like they had something that wasn't soda in there drinks so I just thought what the hey C) I Desided that I wasn't going to get one little thing get me down and just to have fun (I can't dance... thats what got me down) D) I hit a boy with a ping pong paddle(You can't go wrong with that) So, I just kinda let myself live a little and kinda started danceing(AKA shuffleing my feet in place, mainly moving my upper half.) And then my night got a little better when I saw someone dancing but then he fell on his butt(Trying to dance the peter pan...) And then I had candy! And then Well, it ended and I waz all like "NO! It just got fun!". But then Juliet and I texted this one guy who was standing not to far from from us and It was super funny. I gave juliet his number and told her that she was going to text him and not tell him it was us. She did and here is the first part of the conversation:
Juliet: U suck at dancing
Person: whodis
Juliet: guess
Person: Juliet
Juliet: How did u guess?
Person: Its kinda Ovious when you and Lindsey are staring at me
Juliet: True
So yea, and then they said somthing about me and I texted him: :P thats all I have to say to you.
So, I promise I will try to post more... Later

LINDSEY YOU R IN T-R-O-U-B-L-E

Okay, it has been over a MONTH AND A HALF since you last posted. I know you have time cuz I call you sometimes and you are almost always wandering aimlessly around your house looking for something to do.

Don't use the excuse "my sisters are always on the computer"
cuz you know I will say "then kick "em off"
then you will say "no, my mom will kill me"
and I will say "too bad"
and you will say "oh, that's nice"
and I will say "I know, right"
and you will say "ugh"
and I will know you are rolling your eyes so I will say "stop rolling your eyes and go kick some small children of that computer you do have two of them"
and you will say "but both my sisters are on them"
and I will say "then get on your mom or dad's laptop"
and you will say "but my parents are on them"
and I will say "too bad"
and you will roll your eyes again and say "you know my mom"
and I will say "yes I do"
and you will say "then you know what the answer is"
and I will get frustrated and say "you get home before your sisters-- blog then!"
and you will say "but I have to do homework then"
and I will say "do it later-- like me"
and you will say "only you can pull that off, Juliet"
and I will say "grrr"
and you will say "told you"
and I will say "suuuuure"
and you will say "look, I just can't"
and I will say "then explain it to your mom"
and you will sigh and say "but--"
and I will cut you off and say "but nothing, you need to post, I always post and what is the point of sharing a blog if only one person blogs and that just defeats the purpose and it is not fair" and then I will realize I am babbling and stop
and you will say "fine I will try to find time"
and I snicker
and you roll your eyes
and we talk about something else
and you don't ever find time
THE END

As you can see, we have this conversation a lot. And it is the same every time.

Prayers, M'n'Ms and Mondays

First off, I would like to announce that my Great Uncle Grant (on my dad's side) is dying in the hospital. And my dad is really sad and so is the rest of everyone who knows him. Himself especially because his very own brother refuses to come and see him-- Chuck wants to remember Grant as he was, not how he is. I never met him, so his death is sad, by does not greatly affect me.

I think death is an interesting thing. Sad-- yes. Everyone eventually returns to the dust from which they came. Ashes to ashes; dust to dust.

Secondly, I would like to tell everyone out there that I hope you had a happy Easter (yes, I realize it was a week ago, but my week was rough). Mine was full of M'n'Ms and vampyres. I did not spell it wrong, btw, that is how it is spelled in the book I am reading-- so HA, Lindsey.

And third is about school and Mondays and how I didn't end up going to detention (yayayayayayayayayayayayay: my way of saying 'yay' cuz I talk really fast-- ask Lindsey). ANYWAY, I can honestly say that I am excellent at the whole advertising thing in English at school, but I hate it. H-A-T-E it.

Well, okay. I'm bored now. I'm gonna go check my email. Maybe play some of those games that turn your mind into mush (don't you dare comment on that, Lindsey). See ya!

Bad Days

You've joked around in school before right?
Have you ever gotten detention for it?
I just did. Not even a warning or a lunch detention (both of which I can handle but have never gotten either). Just straight detention. Something that goes on my permanent record.

And I am about to move to Florida too (there is a 10% chance that I won't). So everyone was all sad and stuff. Plus detention, plus a bad hair day. Oh, but my detention isn't till Thursday by the way.

I can cry about detention but not about moving all the way across the country (not kidding about that) and leaving Lindsey to suffer eighth grade without me? Huh. That's a new one.

My mom is on the phone with Mrs. DT (demon teacher) right now. Cross your fingers and wish me luck.
Oh and Lindsey-- I would rather face Mrs. William's wrath every day for the rest of my life then go back to DT's classroom.

How could I get detention??? I am a straight A student who maybe talks a little more than she should, but why me?

Here is what happened. Last Friday, I was in class early with my friend Kayla. We were joking around and stuff and there was a coat on Kayla's chair. She was just going to throw it on the ground, but I said, "You should jump on it." Totally kidding right? Why would anyone in their right mind jump on a coat???? Kayla. She did indeed jump on it and as I tried to stop her, DT came in and saw her doing that. OF COURSE Kayla blamed it on me. That coat just happened to be DT's and we both got detention for this Thursday. How insane is that?

How many people get detention for joking around (but not causing any harm)? Me.
And how many teachers would give detention just because they thought I "encouraged" jumping on a coat? DT.

Here comes mom...

Apparently, DT said that office notes go on your permanent record and detentions don't. DT is thinking about reversing my detention and I still really mad.

Make a Difference Monday

What did you do Monday?

I went to school, came home, had a Popsicle (or two), went to bed and didn't get up until the next day. I didn't fall asleep until 10ish that night and I didn't do anything except lay in bed and moan. I did have a temp of 103, so you can't exactly blame me, can ya?

Anyway, at school, I was nice and didn't laugh at Lindsey when she got paint on herself. Granted, I might not have told her... No, JK, I did tell her, don't worry! And I did other nice stuff too. Like... uh... Okay, maybe I didn't do so well on my first Make a Difference Monday, but I tried!
I sure hope you did better than me!

One thing I DID do was draw pretty pictures, see?

Birthdays and Prom Dresses

So, I bet you read Lindsey's last post, about her birthday... which is in exactly one month!!! And, she is right, I have some ideas on what she could do for her party. 1) I like camping. 2) Anything but manis and pedis. 3) I will not go if we go to David's Bridal-- do you really trust me in $300 dresses? 4) We could spend the night in that one building in her townhouse center... the one where there are games and stuff... 5) We probably shouldn't go to a hotel, wouldn't we get kicked out? 6) Picnic parties were fun in the 80s, no offense. 7) We could dress up as old men and pretend to care about history. JK. 8) We could do that cookout idea, just not call it a cookout call it... Stuff-Our-Faces-Until-We're-Sick. 9) Don't do ice skating, that's MY party in November. 10) We could have a tea party and I could crash it! JK (again). 10-the-revised) We could go to Borders and drink hot cocoa and read books and stuff.

ANYWAY, today was a half day and Lindsey and I went to Sonic then to JCPenny's. She wanted to try on prom dresses. I did not. I walked away. She followed, moping. I sighed and said, "If you REALLY want to...". She tried one on. A blue sparkly homecoming dress. I laughed and took her picture:

Make a Difference Monday

Yes, folks, I know it is Tuesday. BUT, now you can think about this over the next week. It is something my mom started on her blog (Delicious As Pie) AND all you have to do is try not to be negative and do at least ONE nice thing for someone else. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Right? DO IT.
If you have ever dreamed about world peace, than start with this. Tell all your friends about it. As Amelia Earhart once said,
"No kind action ever stops with itself. One kind action leads to another. Good example is followed. A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves."
So start next Monday, and who knows, maybe someday everyone will be doing this and that will make the world a better place.

It starts with a Monday.

Math, Math, Math

Yes, I am actually posting about math, Lindsey. (u spelled your name wrong on your email, FYI) Well, we are doing quadratics, which are actually kinda fun. Here are some of my math problems:
  1. (x-3)(x+4)
  2. (x+3)(x+5)
  3. x(x+5)
  4. (x-2)(x-6)
  5. (x-3)(x+5)
They're quadratic equations. Don't ask me why I have to solve them or where that gets me in life, but, what the hey.
They are really easy, here: for the first one...
(x-3)(x+4)
first, you multiply x by x (for the fist x and the second x)= x to the power of 2
second, you multiply x by 4= 4x
third, you multiply -3 by the second x= -3x
next, you multilpy -3 by 4= -12
second to last, you add 4x + -3x or 4x - 3x= 1x either way
then you put them all together: x to the second power + 1x - 12
that is the answer, but we haven't learned how to actually solve for x yet, but I might be able to guess. don't expect me to put that on here though... cuz if it's wrong...

20 Plot Ideas for Stories

I was bored earlier and decided to make up some world as a story kinda thing. So, I Googled 'story plot ideas' and found this on Yahoo Answers:

'I have a list of 20 basic plots that you can expand on and incorporate your own ideas into:
1. QUEST - the plot involves the Protagonist's search for a person, place or thing, tangible or intangible (but must be quantifiable, so think of this as a noun; i.e., immortality).
2. ADVENTURE - this plot involves the Protagonist going in search of their fortune, and since fortune is never found at home, the Protagonist goes to search for it somewhere over the rainbow.
3. PURSUIT - this plot literally involves hide-and-seek, one person chasing another.
4. RESCUE - this plot involves the Protagonist searching for someone or something, usually consisting of three main characters - the Protagonist, the Victim & the Antagonist.
5. ESCAPE - plot involves a Protagonist confined against their will who wants to escape (does not include some one trying to escape their personal demons).
6. REVENGE - retaliation by Protagonist or Antagonist against the other for real or imagined injury.
7. THE RIDDLE - plot involves the Protagonist's search for clues to find the hidden meaning of something in question that is deliberately enigmatic or ambiguous.
8. RIVALRY - plot involves Protagonist competing for same object or goal as another person (their rival).
9. UNDERDOG - plot involves a Protagonist competing for an object or goal that is at a great disadvantage and is faced with overwhelming odds.
10. TEMPTATION - plot involves a Protagonist that for one reason or another is induced or persuaded to do something that is unwise, wrong or immoral.
11. METAMORPHOSIS - this plot involves the physical characteristics of the Protagonist actually changing from one form to another (reflecting their inner psychological identity).
12. TRANSFORMATION - plot involves the process of change in the Protagonist as they journey through a stage of life that moves them from one significant character state to another.
13. MATURATION - plot involves the Protagonist facing a problem that is part of growing up, and from dealing with it, emerging into a state of adulthood (going from innocence to experience).
14. LOVE - plot involves the Protagonist overcoming the obstacles to love that keeps them from consummating (engaging in) true love.
15. FORBIDDEN LOVE - plot involves Protagonist(s) overcoming obstacles created by social mores and taboos to consummate their relationship (and sometimes finding it at too high a price to live with).
16. SACRIFICE - plot involves the Protagonist taking action(s) that is motivated by a higher purpose (concept) such as love, honor, charity or for the sake of humanity.
17. DISCOVERY - plot that is the most character-centered of all, involves the Protagonist having to overcome an upheavel(s) in their life, and thereby discovering something important (and buried) within them a better understanding of life (i.e., better appreciation of their life, a clearer purpose in their life, etc.)
18. WRETCHED EXCESS - plot involves a Protagonist who, either by choice or by accident, pushes the limits of acceptable behavior to the extreme and is forced to deal with the consequences (generally deals with the psychological decline of the character).
19. ASCENSION - rags-to-riches plot deals with the rise (success) of Protagonist due to a dominating character trait that helps them to succeed.
20. DECISION - riches-to-rags plot deals with the fall (destruction) of Protagonist due to dominating character trait that eventually destroys their success.

You can also try the two word test, where you just arbitrarily pick two words and somehow, an idea could evolve from that. eg. King Liver?
Somehow I got, a king must donate his liver to his only son so that he can remain heir to the throne, however, the liver contains something? that causes the doctors to scratch their heads in confusion and they realize that whatever the kings liver contains will kill everyone ... I got that from two words.

There will always be the
1. Man versus man.
2. Man versus nature.
3. Man versus self.
4. Man versus man’s work.
in writing.

Remember to include twists and turns, which I cannot help you with but steer clear of vampires, as they are ridiculously overdone.'

Two things:
1) What do you MEAN vampires are RIDICULOUSLY OVER DONE? That is just crazy.
2) I like those ideas and they helped a lot.
So, thanks whoever wrote that.

I Found Myself in Wonderland...

So, you've heard of that new movie, Alice in Wonderland? It is the new and improved version of Disney's original Alice in Wonderland. Here is what it is the easy way: Alice is proposed to and fell into Wonderland again. Alice finds Wonderland in a state of... what's the word... well, they are in need of desperate help. And Alice is apparently going to save them by slaying the Jabberwocky. Yay!

Post from school

Hi, I am at school. In science to be exact. I'll give you a little lesson about earthquakes, fact or fiction.
Fiction: California will fall of into the ocean
Fact: San Andres fault is a strike-slip fault, part of Cali. might be up near Canada though
Fiction: That a 10.5 Earthquake can happen.
Fact: There would have to be a fault that circles the earth!
Fiction: The golden gate bridge could colapse
Fact: It is strucurally sound, and would not collapse.
And now that I have finished my extra credit project I Can post a little more than just Fact or fiction. The Deepest humans have ever drilled is about 8 miles in to the crust. Ok, I want to get a little break from science, I'll tell you about my bucket list. I have plans for summer vaction. And I have a list of things I want to do:
1. Sea World, Flordia
2. Yellowstone National Park
3. Grand Canyon
4. Washington D.C
5. Durango- Silverton Train
6. Great Wolf Lodge
7. Band Camp
8. Oklahoma Storm Chasing
9. 72 oz. Steak at Big Texas
10. Vancouver B.C.

These are a few of my favorite things

Ok, a while ago I gave a friend a list of my favorite things. It had a bunch of things on it. Like:
Favorite Color: Purple, Favorite Food: Pizza, Favorite Drink: Root Beer, Favorite Movie: Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Ya know, stuff like that. It even had my favorite utensil. Which by the way is a spork. Well, I hope by now you know about the Chilian Earthquake. They are saying it was 180 time worse then the haiti, but i won't have as much damage. Oh yes, I have a leaving question for you all: What does freedom mean to you? Its a great question, and would really help with my P.B.A. Bye!

Fang

This is the cast for the movie that is coming out soon.

I am SO exited for the newest book in the Maximum Ride Series: Fang. He's Max's soul-mate, best friend, right-hand-man, the one who helps her lead the flock. But now, Dylan has come and he was created to be Max's soul-mate and he thinks he is. But he's not. And a message has come that Fang will be the first one to die. So, Max is juggling all this and the end of the world is coming-- she's supposed to save the world, by the way.
I am being forced to wait 15 more days. How insane is that?

Oh, sorry-- did I forget to mention that Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, the Gasman, Angel and now Dylan are all 98% human and 2% bird? Yeah, and they've got wings. Yep. That's right. Oh, and this series is written by James Patterson. For a link to Max-Dan-Wiz (the Maximum Ride homepage), go to my Links to Check Out on the left.

Here's the cast:
Maximum Ride-Taylor Momsen
Fang-Tyler Posey
Iggy-Cayden Boyd
Nudge-Kristen Combs
Gazzy-Bridger Palmer
Angel-Noah Lindsey Cyrus
Ella Martinez-Ivana Baquero
Dr. Martinez-Cathryn Zeta-Jones
Ari Batchalder-Shia Labuf

La De Da De Da

Boredom is one of the main problems in America, currently in my house. I do not lack activities (I have plenty) I am just choosing not to do any of them.
Here is a quote about boredom: "The eyes want to see and the ears want to hear," from Robert S. Woodworth, a leading motivational theorist in the 1920s and 1930s.
Yes, Lindsey, I am bored right now. Why else would I be posting this post?
The definition:

1.
to weary by dullness, tedious repetition, unwelcome attentions, etc. Example: The long speech bored me.
–noun
2.
a dull, tiresome, or uncongenial person.
3.
a cause of ennui or petty annoyance: repetitious tasks that are a bore to do.

Earthquakes, Earthquakes, Earthquakes everywhere

January 12, 2010, Your in Port-Au-Prince. Your Hotel starts to shake violently. You Shake your head, no its impossible an earthquake hasn't happened in 200 years in Haiti. It stops as soon as it started. You grab necessary items and get out of your hotel. Things are totally destroyed outside you take out your laptop and go to usgs.gov a 7.0 earthquake has happened where you are. 12 minutes later it starts to shake again, a 6.0 aftershock.
February 27, 2010, Your in Santiago, Chile, sleeping in your hotel room. It starts to shake violently you wake up. It's an earthquake. Just as you get out of your bed and on the the floor, it stops. The power is out, you grab your cell phone, its around three a.m. You get dressed, get your bags and get out of the building. You open your laptop, a 8.8 magnitude earthquake just happened.
February 27, 2010, Your in Oklahoma. Your watching CNN about the earlier earthquake in Chile. It starts to shake, How ironic. Its an earthquake. It stops just as quick. You just had a 4.4 magnitude earthquake, a rarity.
Earthquakes are happening everywhere. It's almost amazing. It's El Nino this year, which means unusual weather. Earthquakes are not weather though. Earthquakes are when tectonic plates go under, over, or scrape against other plates. The Haiti Earthquake was when the North American Plate scraped against the Caribbean Plate. Also known as a strike slip fault or a transform boundary. The Chile Earthquake was when the Nazca Plate went Under the south American Plate. Also Known as a Reversed fault or as a Convergent boundary. The Oklahoma quake? The Earth was releasing stress. It's crazy right? Maybe the world really is ending!

Band Camp, Olympics, and Help for Chile

I am so excited for this summer. Band Camp at twin rocks is going to be so much fun. I get to ditch my normal life and go to band camp with Juliet. A few of my other friends went to band camp last year and had a blast. In Other news: We are in the lead with 34 medals in the Olympics. A U.S first, if we can hold on until sunday. And I hope you all help with the Chile Earthquake go to : http://www.freerice.com/index.php. Every Question you get right ten grains of rice go to someone who is hungry.

(P.S. this part was added by Juliet: I couldn't care less about sports.)
