Have you ever gotten detention for it?
I just did. Not even a warning or a lunch detention (both of which I can handle but have never gotten either). Just straight detention. Something that goes on my permanent record.
And I am about to move to Florida too (there is a 10% chance that I won't). So everyone was all sad and stuff. Plus detention, plus a bad hair day. Oh, but my detention isn't till Thursday by the way.
I can cry about detention but not about moving all the way across the country (not kidding about that) and leaving Lindsey to suffer eighth grade without me? Huh. That's a new one.
My mom is on the phone with Mrs. DT (demon teacher) right now. Cross your fingers and wish me luck.
Oh and Lindsey-- I would rather face Mrs. William's wrath every day for the rest of my life then go back to DT's classroom.
How could I get detention??? I am a straight A student who maybe talks a little more than she should, but why me?
Here is what happened. Last Friday, I was in class early with my friend Kayla. We were joking around and stuff and there was a coat on Kayla's chair. She was just going to throw it on the ground, but I said, "You should jump on it." Totally kidding right? Why would anyone in their right mind jump on a coat???? Kayla. She did indeed jump on it and as I tried to stop her, DT came in and saw her doing that. OF COURSE Kayla blamed it on me. That coat just happened to be DT's and we both got detention for this Thursday. How insane is that?
How many people get detention for joking around (but not causing any harm)? Me.
And how many teachers would give detention just because they thought I "encouraged" jumping on a coat? DT.
Here comes mom...
Apparently, DT said that office notes go on your permanent record and detentions don't. DT is thinking about reversing my detention and I still really mad.
